How to cancel Lebara and keep your number

Step 1: Ask for your PAC code from Lebara

• On your existing Lebara account, text “PAC” to 65075 from the number you want to keep.
• You should receive a PAC code from Lebara within minutes. Note that in some cases, it can take up to two hours.
• The PAC will typically be valid for 30 days. Use it within that time.

Step 2: Order a new SIM/plan from your new provider

• Choose the mobile network you want to move to and order your SIM. In some cases, you will be prompted to provide a PAC code during the ordering process. If that’s not the case with your chosen operator, don’t worry. You can also provide the PAC code to them after you’ve received your new SIM. 
• To be safe, keep your Lebara SIM active until the porting date is set (see step 3).

Step 3: Submit your PAC to your new provider and schedule the switch

• Provide the PAC code to your new provider, telling them you want to keep your number. This will either happen while ordering your new SIM card, or you can do it afterwards by calling their Customer Support department.
• Choose a date for transferring your number.
• Once the new provider processes it, your number will move from Lebara to the new network. 

Step 4: Confirm your number has moved and then cancel Lebara if needed

• After the transfer date, test that your incoming and outgoing calls work on the new SIM and that the old Lebara SIM no longer works. In many cases, you don’t need to separately call Lebara to cancel: your old account should close as soon as the number has been transferred. 
• If you still see auto-renewal or charges on your Lebara account, contact Lebara support to confirm contract cancellation.

• Check remaining call credit: If you have leftover call credit on your PAYG Lebara SIM, you may lose it when switching to another operator. Make sure to use it in time. 
• Consider cancellation charges: If you have a contract with a fixed minimum term, make sure there are no early-cancellation charges.
• You can always change your mind: In case you decide to switch back to Lebara in the future, you can follow the same process to keep your number.
