PS5: Release Date Is 19 November 2020
If you’re excited about the new PS5 console, you’re not alone. The good news is, your wait is almost over, as the PS5 release date is around the corner.
Can You Pre-Order the PS5 Console?
Pre-orders were indeed available for PS5. However, they quickly sold out. At the time of writing, there are no pre-orders available via the official PlayStation website. Some retailers, such as Amazon, are expected to get a pre-order restock. If that happens, you might want to get your Amazon gift card ready in order to pre-order the PS5, or gift someone the opportunity to do so.
PS5 Console: What’s New?
Wondering about the PS5 features? Or still debating which console to choose (Xbox is also launching its Series X console in November 2020)? Here’s a breakdown of the PS5 updates:
Improved Graphics
The PS5 console delivers better graphics than its predecessors. Game worlds are more realistic due to individually-generated rays of light, HDR technology for vibrant colours, and fluid high-frame-rate gameplay of up to 120FPS.
Faster Gameplay
The new PS5 boasts an ultra-high-speed SSD, which is always good news for a gamer. It means almost instant load times, and it also creates more possibilities for game designers to build gaming experiences like never before.
VR Integration
You can now connect your PS5 console to PlayStation VR. The only requirement is that you have a PlayStation Camera for PS4. You can request the PlayStation Camera adaptor which is also needed for the connection free of charge.
A New DualSense Wireless Controller
The PS5 controller comes with immersive haptic feedback and an internal microphone, for a more complete gaming experience.
What Games Can You Play on PS5?
There’s a lot to look forward to in the gaming department for the PS5 console. You can enjoy games such as Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Gran Turismo 7, FIFA 21, NBA 2K21, and the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The list continues, so you better be ready to play.
Already Have the New PS5 Console?
If you’ve secured your PS5 console and you’re ready to play, there’s one more thing left to do. That’s getting your PSN card, PS Plus code or PS Now code.
With the PSN Card, you can purchase and enjoy games, map packs and tons of other entertainment from the PlayStation Store. A PS Plus code will let you start or continue your PlayStation Plus subscription - that means playing games online with friends and getting two free games every month.
With a PS Now code you can start or renew your PlayStation Now subscription, which is essentially a streaming service for games, with a catalogue of over 700 games to choose from. Get prepared with the right digital code for you and put your new console to good use!
